Frequently asked questions

Which events are available via outbound webhook?

28 events: upload.completed, step.completed, step.deadline_approaching, step.deadline_missed, course.lesson_completed, form.submitted, calendar.booked, calendar.cancelled, vault.opened, vault.closed, etc.

How to verify that a webhook originates from Client Vault?

All webhooks are HMAC SHA-256 signed with a secret key configured in Client Vault. Verify the signature in the X-CV-Signature header.

Does the REST API have SSRF protection?

Yes. Outbound requests (webhooks, external asset fetching) are filtered against private IPs and internal domains. API keys are rotatable.

FluentCRM: how does contact synchronization work?

When a client is created in Client Vault, a contact is created in FluentCRM with their tags. Conversely, you can use a FluentCRM sequence to call the Client Vault API and unlock a step.
